Nick Perantinos, son of Leonardo Perantinos, was born in Athens in 1910. In 1928 he attended the School of Fine Arts (the Sculpture workshop of Thomas Thomopoulos), and received a Sculpture degree as well as the Chrysovergeio Prize. He also received a scholarship and continued his studies in Paris. In 1941 he got a job as a sculptor in the Archaeological Museum and received many prizes and awards and in 1964, he founded the Marble Sculpture workshop in St. Anna. After his death (July 20th, 1991) the Sculpture Museum Nick Perantinos was founded and it houses 192 sculptures, reliefs and drawings.
